During the Surface session in the Ignite 2022 event, Microsoft shared several upcoming changes in the Microsoft platform. During the session, a still was shown with a screen recorder option in the Snipping Tool on Windows 11 operating system.
It was a very demanding feature from Windows users in the past to provide a built-in screen recording functionality in Windows, and after this, the dream is most likely not so far!
Though there were no official announcements from Microsoft about including Screen Recording functionality in the Windows 11 Snipping Tool, it looks like the addition of this feature is not so far. The team will be well appreciated for including it in any of the future builds of Windows 11.
As you can see in the above image, captured from a video demonstrated in Ignite 2022 event, Microsoft is most likely redesigning the Snipping Tool application on Windows 11. It will contain two buttons: one for taking a still with the snip feature, and the other for recording the screen.
In addition to that, Microsoft is also working on a new Photos app with iCloud integration and an improved OneDrive experience. Microsoft is also rebranding Office to Microsoft 365 and making Microsoft Edge better for corporate uses.
