Microsoft's Office Lens has seen a lot of popularity since its first release and has been well adopted on multiple platforms. Now, the Redmond based software giant is rebranding the app with a new name and an icon, based on the fluent design. From now onwards, it will be known as "Microsoft Lens".
Along with the revamped design, Microsoft Lens is also getting some AI-based new capabilities for Android and iOS devices. To get the latest version, navigate to Google Play Store or Apple Store, and check for updates.
With the new release of the "Microsoft Lens" app, Microsoft is adding some new capabilities to the camera UI, that includes Image to Text (OCR), Image to Table, Image to Contact, Immersive Reader, and QR Code Scan.
Along with these new capabilities, the Microsoft Lens app also adds functionalities to quickly reorder pages, re-edit scanned PDFs, and apply filters to all images in the PDF document. You can also scan up to 100 pages and save the scanned images as PDF.
We are releasing an improved scan experience allowing you to re-order pages, re-edit scanned PDFs, apply a filter to all images in the document, scan up to 100 pages as images or PDFs, easily switch between local and cloud locations while saving PDF, along with an easy way to identify local and cloud files.
