When Microsoft first announced that they are going to switch to the popular Chromium engine for Microsoft Edge, they made it clear that the browser will come to every popular platform. Till now, it was available to Windows, ARM, macOS, Android, and was missing the love of Linux.

Those who are waiting for Microsoft Edge to run on Linux, the wait is almost over. Microsoft to start releasing preview builds in the coming month. Though the general public will get the stable version of Microsoft Edge on Linux after a couple of months, as an Edge Insider you can try it from next month.
Starting October 2020, Linux users can download the Microsoft Edge preview build from the Edge Insiders site, or through the native package manager of Linux. You will get the same Edge experience as users on Windows and macOS.
