Microsoft started rolling out a new update to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The latest update comes as Windows 11 Build 25188, and adds a new touch keyboard setting to Windows 11. With this build, Microsoft has now set the Windows Terminal as the default terminal application and also adds a good set of fixes to improve the overall experience.

With the release of Windows 11 Build 25188, Microsoft is now trying out a new touch keyboard setting for Windows 11. The new setting replaces the “Show the touch keyboard when there’s no keyboard attached” checkbox under
Microsoft said that this setting is gradually rolling out to the insiders, and hence isn’t available to all Insiders just yet. Based on the feedback received from the insiders, it will be rolled out to more users.
With this build, Microsoft now sets the Windows Terminal as the default terminal in Windows 11. This means all command-line applications will open in Windows Terminal automatically. If you want, you can change this setting by navigating to
