Yesterday, Microsoft announced the official release date of Windows 11 and said that it will roll out in a phased manner to all compatible Windows 10 devices as a FREE Upgrade. If your system meets the minimum hardware requirements, you can expect it on your system by mid-2022.
Along with this news, there is also a piece of bad news that the Android apps support on Windows 11 won't be part of the first release. Microsoft is yet to start testing this feature with Windows Insiders, which will begin in the coming months.
When Windows 11 was officially announced, back in June, Microsoft said that the company is going to bring Android apps support in Windows 11 later this year.
However, the first general availability of Windows 11 which is going to release next month won't have this feature bundled.
According to Microsoft, the feature will arrive to the Windows Insiders in the "coming months" for testing but didn't reveal the exact release date.
A point to note is that Windows 11 will have support for Android apps via the Amazon app store. Microsoft is currently working with Amazon and Intel to provide you a preview of this feature soon.
Windows 11 to come with a new design, with a fresh Start menu centered in the Taskbar. It will also add a snap layout, snap groups, Chats from Microsoft Teams integrated into the core. It will also have an AI (Artificial Intelligence) powered personalized feed, Widgets, a new Microsoft Store.
Windows 11 will be more secure, optimized for speed, efficiency, improved experience with touch, digital pen, and voice inputs.
