Microsoft has started a new program to provide early access to the Visual Studio Preview to try out the latest features, bug fixes incorporated to Visual Studio 2017 and help to shape the future by making the IDE even better.
Visual Studio Preview has the most recent code pushed with new features, bug fixes and can run side-by-side with stable version of the IDE. Read more to know about it and get the preview installer.
The 'Preview' release is for those enthusiast, who wants to try out the latest bits and provide continuous feedback to Microsoft. This is a pre-release version and can't be used in production environment and/or to build production apps, but you can install it in your development environment side-by-side with Visual Studio 2017 which is available as general availability.
This pre-release version of Visual Studio will have more frequent builds with new changes, fixes and thus, there exists a higher possibility of bugs/issues. So, only install this bits if you want to make your hands dirty with the forthcoming features and report issues/feedback to Microsoft.

Microsoft recommends that, you install the edition of the IDE (Preview Release) that you have a license. If you don't have a license for the Visual Studio 2017, you can install the Visual Studio Community edition. If you change your mind at any point of moment and you don't want to participate in the program, you can always allowed to uninstall the complete traces of the preview release. But, if you have Visual Studio IDE installed side-by-side, Microsoft recommends running a “Repair” on your other installation as a precaution.
