Microsoft recommends that, you install the edition of the IDE (Preview Release) that you have a license. If you don't have a license for the Visual Studio 2017, you can install the Visual Studio Community edition. If you change your mind at any point of moment and you don't want to participate in the program, you can always allowed to uninstall the complete traces of the preview release. But, if you have Visual Studio IDE installed side-by-side, Microsoft recommends running a “Repair” on your other installation as a precaution.
